I met a new friend yesterday ...

Mr D and I waked to a pub in our neighbouring village yesterday, and as we walked back home, we noticed that someone had recently taken up residence in a local field.





I don't know his name, but he came trotting over when I called out a hello to him and we had a cuddle while I fed him a few handfuls of grass.



When Mr D and I got home, my jacket had to go into the laundry because it had horse drool all over the shoulder - a mark of true horsey friendship!

Sadly I don;'t walk that way very often, I may have to make the effort a little more now!

They can look quite imposing, (even though most of them are gentle giants), but this boy wasn't too big. I'd say he was the top end of pony-sized, or a small horse!

What a lovely looking horse, and speaking as someone who spends all her life covered in cat and dog hair I can sympathise with the whole horse drool covering the jacket issue *G*.
