Standing with you New Zealand

I grieve with the people of New Zealand.

This beautiful country, so far away, so peaceful and neighbourly; the home of my dear friends and my god-daughters, has finally suffered the curse of extremist terrorism.  And in Christchurch as well - a city which has already suffered so terriby through the forces of nature recently.

It was too easy to think that NZ was too far away, too harmless and un-controversial on the world stage to have to worry about this plague.

If I could hug an entire country, I would.

I know what you mean, you see it all on the news and you're quietly grateful for the distance it takes to get here.
Then one of your neighbours decides to take it upon himself to go on a killing spree!!!!!!
