Your opinion matters!

Some of you may know that every year, I enter my artwork into the 'Ken Bromley Cover Competition'.

In short, Ken Bromley Art Supplies is the UK's biggest online supplier of art equipment, and every year they run a compeition for artists to submit a piece of work, one of which will be chosen to appear on the cover of their autumn catalogue.  This catalogue will be distributed to over 100,000 houseeholds in the UK and beyond, so that's a lot of exposure!

I've entered this competition every year for about the last eight years and although I've not ever won it, all bar two times, I've made the final shortlist of fifty pictures.

So once again, it's time to choose my submission for 2017.  This is where you friends of dapplegrey art come in:

These are the four pictures I'm going to make my choice from.  So decide which picture you like best and leave your vote as a comment below. After next Sunday (4th June), I'll submit the picture that has the most votes into the competition!

#1 is my first choice. Love the horses, especially the little pony in-between the two bigger horses. #3 is my second choice. The bunny about to snatch the strawberry. I really like that.

I have to choose #2 Dizz. The cat's soulful eyes are amazing. But they are all lovely.

They are all beautiful, but #1 is my favourite. I love the colours, the horses are stunning and the pony is so cute!

Although 3 is whimsical and adorable, the shading and fine detail is 2 is awesome.  So 2.  Plus kitty.   m.    :)

#4! It is gorgeous! THe other ones are too, but that one looks so clean and polished, and the composition is the most interesting, as well.

I had to do a random choice between two numbers. I mean they are all nice, but #4 is so very sweet and #2... I love cats, but the eyes have so much love in them.

So, #4 with #2 a super close second.

Wow. As someone who can barely manage stick figures, just uh... wow. I should commission you to draw our fluffball.

As for these... my favourite is the bunny (and the fact I didn't automatically go for the cat tells you how much I love it). But I think that number 4 (and to a lesser extent number 1) have better positioning for a catalogue cover so might be a more tactical option.

I love them all... the cat's eyes are amazing, the bunny and strawberry is adorable, and the giraffes are totally precious. It's hard to choose, but I pick the lovely horses, #1.
