Well, what yoour English Lit teacher said may work for some people but not for me. I have to care for the characters otherwise I just can't engage.

Recently, I''ve read a lot more fanfic than I have books, but I tend to read either the same way. I don't have a lot of time, so I dip in and out; in bed, in the bath, at the gym, and just read 10 or 15 pages at time.
