If you want me, I'll just be sitting here in the corner staring until my eyeballs shrivel up ...
dizzojay: (Dean)
I'm working away from my office for the next couple of days, at one of our remote sites.  So I'm sitting in my hotel room after a six hour drive to get here (one and a half hours of which was spent sitting in traffic!)

Honestly, I don't do this journey very often, but when I do, it always reinforces the growing respect I have for people who drive for a living because after it, I'm stiff and I'm physically tired, but mentally wound up, so I need to chill out for a while before even attempting to sleep.

And what better way to chill out than to spend some time enjoying the sight of Dean doing what I intend to be doing in a little while (only he's doing it far more prettily than I ever could!)

Behold, the delight that is sleeping Dean!

And just in case you thought I'd forgotten it ...

*drum roll*

As if ... !!!

I am in the mood for a little sleeping Dean ...

Spoilers for 1.4 - Phantom Traveller )

Over my years of writing fanfic, I've built up a little collection of hurty-comfort one-shots that involve hurt/sick/cranky!Dean and awesome!Sam. Throughout the collection, I've thrown in some humour, some angst, some schmoopy hurty/comfort, and I've called this little collection, 'It Takes Two'.

I've decided to give these stories an airing over here at last, so I'm going to be posting one story a day for the next few days ...

Hope you enjoy the hurty Dean :)

Sam's good at thinking 'outside the box'. This isn't always a good thing.

Okay, so you may by now have a suspicion that I am slightly enamoured of one certain Dean Winchester.

You know, just a bit, sort of. Sometimes.

The fact is that our beautiful boy is irresistable under any circumstances.  Whether he's fighting, digging up a grave, flirting, eating, breaking our hearts with the one perfect tear, driving his baby, teasing Sammy or even standing in the corner scratching his ass, he's a vision of unparalleled loveliness that's almost painful to behold.

There is, however, one particular occasion upon which I believe he surpasses even his usual standards of ovary melting perfection.

This little snippet is dedicated to a certain scene in 'Phantom Traveller';a scene which I utterly and wholly blame for my hopelessly pathetic Supernatural obsession.  Every fanfic I've written, every single name on my F-list here, every single penny I've spent at conventions; it can all be traced back to fifteen jaw-dropping seconds at the beginning of this episode.

Damn you Kripke ...

On 13th September 2005, eight years (and one day; okay, okay, I know I'm late) Supernatural aired in the US for the very first time ... and the the world rejoiced to the sound of exploding ovaries everywhere.

And of course, I couldn't let such a significant event go without recognition ...

... is just what the brothers Winchester are NOT getting in my 'Two Boys in a Bed'-verse.

Not slash, but plenty of fidgeting, drooling and unconscious groping, which is kind of the same thing only without the tongues.

Take two brothers, add the mother of all head colds and throw in one bed ... what do you get? Poor, poor Sammy knows the answer; serious, brother-induced sleep deprivation ...

Written as a sister (or should that be brother) fic to my 'Two Boys In A Bed' saga; Deprivation. How's it go? Take two brothers, add a bad back, a hotel from hell and one bed and what do you get?

One seriously snarky older brother and a night to forget ...

I'm not entirely sure where my mind was at the weekend, but if the drabbles I wrote were anything to go by, I would say there should have been a three mile exclusion zone around it for health and safety purposes.

Needless to say that my two lovely boys didn't do too well out of it :)

See for yourself ...

It's tragic really, but with fanfic.net on the fritz since Saturday, I'm practically chewing the wallpaper off the walls with frustration not being able to post or read new fic.  I really need to get out more!

Drabble challenge on hiatus this Sunday with no new fics able to be posted, but I've had these sitting on my hard drive waiting to see the light of day, so congratulations LJ ... you get first look!

I wanted to challenge myself.

Well, I had nothing better to do ...  so - do I run a marathon?  do I learn a foreign language?  do I travel the world on the back of a donkey?

I know - I'll write a really dark and angsty torture-fic.  Exactly what any well adjusted, mentally stable individual would do.

So herewith ...

Someone - or something - is scaring people to death in New York; Bobby's on the case, but opinion is divided on whether or not he needs the Winchesters' help. But those boys; they just won't take no for an answer …

I have based this fic very loosely around one of London's most famous ghost stories; that of the fatally hideous spirit of number fifty, Berkeley Square. I have used the most basic details of the story, and embellished, warped and fiddled with them for my own nefarious purposes!
