Anyway, Parody Cas is now suitably stubbled, and all finished and ready to come with me to A18 to meet the Hillywood Girls next month.
( Onto Parody Dean next ... )
So, today's project - because apparently I have no life - was to do another black and white Dean.
I decided to do a totally different Dean face, and so, in keeping with the Monster Movie, black and white theme, here's Dean in the infamous 'beer moustache' scene ...
And yes, I'm completely happy with this one!
( And just because ... here's Sam to complete the pair! )
I'm doing a combined bigger picture for them both to sign. And, I had this crazy idea to give myself a new challenge - because 'simple' is boring, right? I picked a couple of pictures of them from one of my favourite episodes, Monster Movie, which just happens to be filmed in black and white ...
( Pics here )
It occcurred to me that Asylum 18 and JIB are only two months away ... AAAAAARGH! That means I needed to start thinking about autographs, so I started a new portrait today to take with me for signing.
It's a bit of a rubbish picture - It was taken with my camera phone under a flash, but ...

Art Title: Fever

Fic Title: Fever
Fandom/Genre: SPN, pre-series, gen
Rating: M rated.
Word Count: 8000
Warnings: Lots of medical waffling.
Summary: His hand shot out before he even registered that he was moving, griping the railing to get another look at the patient, desperate to prove that it wasn’t his brother.
The story was written for a 'round the world' challenge here on Lj, and the brief was to write a story involving a sport that is played in any country other than the USA.
As I'm in the UK, and Cricket is our national summer game, plus I also come from a Cricketing household, this was the result ...
( Ashes to ashes )
So, here goes ...
Day 1. In your own space, post a rec for at least three fanworks that you have created. It can be your favorite fanworks that you've created, or fanworks you feel no one ever saw, or fanworks you say would define you as a creator.
Okay, so my first self-rec is my multi-chapter fic Blood Brothers.
( Blood Brothers )
My second self rec is another multi-chapter fic, Number Fifty
( Number Fifty )
My last self rec is my very first pastel portrait of Dean.
( Dean )
It was a funny old year. From a personal point of view, the main change this year was that, in the spring, I got myself a shiny new job where I'm feeling valued and appreciated, and enjoying a social life unlike anything I ever experienced in 13 years in the charity sector! From a fandom point of view, it's been another fantastic year. I've attended three conventions, had Jensen take a photo of my artwork, took part in GISHWHES, and just generally celebrated the fact that I am lucky enough to be a part of this amazing and fantastic group of people!
I met even more of you in person, and that was special, so very special to be able to finally enjoy real hugs as opposed to virtual hugs!
So here it is, because I did it last year and it was fun to do, my fandom review of 2016!
Day 50. My time challenges have come mainly through work, where we are a person down due to my colleague having a bit of a family crisis (which is very sad and not part of this happy post at all), together with the fact that I decided on Monday, in the minimal free time I do have to try to squeeze in one last portrait to take to Asylum 17 for which I leave on Friday lunchtime. So no pressure then!
I've been cracking on tonight, and have made some good progress on Gavin. I can foresee this one going right to the wire!!!
( Gavin )
But, really, when have I ever taken the sensible (or practical) option?
Jensen knows me far too well!
Day 51. My arting time was reduced further yesterday evening (for the best reason possible) when my lovely friend Viv edina_clouds128 came over and we had a Supernatural Season premier watch party with Pizza and Ice Cream and Mr Dizzo hovering in the background and trying not to look interested.
Day 52. I'm going to Asylum 17 on Friday - a long weekend off work and a Supernatural con with lovely buddies such as amberdreams, heavenli24, chellexxx, andiivalo and xlittleangx. What's not to be happy about?
Day 53. It's pay day on Friday - how convenient! :)
Day 54. Okay, this is nothing major, but do you know what? It made my day today! I got wolf-whistled from a car as I walked back to the office at lunch time. I actually can't remember the last time that happened to me - we are literally talking YEARS! I know in these days that sort of thing is supposed to be frowned upon, but I don't care. I'll take the compliments where I can get them!
I will try to catch up on F/listie things as best I can, but it will probably be after Asylum now, unless someone finds a way to make the next two days 30 hours long!
Okay, although I said Balthazar would be my last picture before Asylum 17, I feel compelled, given a recent guest announcement, to put my horsey pic on ice for a couple of days and try to squeeze one more in before I leave for Birmingham on Friday.
Allowing for work, I have three free evenings, including this one to complete this, so no pressure!!!
*Sigh* who needs a life? You know, like, with conversations with other people and stuff ...
She seems to have developed a particular liking for Tony DiNozzo. Every time I go to see my parents, I'm asked to find to get on 'my internet thng' and look up facts about the character, and Michael Wetherley, the actor.
It's actually really cute! I've never seen her like this over a show or an actor, and NCIS, although not really my thing, is streets ahead of the usual shit she watches, likes soaps and reality TV. So, of course, I'm being a total enabler. I sit and watch it with her when I visit them, and I've ordered her the season 12 DVD for Christmas.
And then I decided to do something for a little surprise, also for Christmas ...
( Her own personal Tony DiNozzo portrait! )
